Description
Description
The Turning Point Hustler H2 is a 3-blade aluminum propeller housing in the 3.5-inch gearcase family. Compare the available pitch and rotation with your engine requirements and loaded boating conditions. Engine fitment requires the correct separate installation/hub kit; gearcase family or horsepower alone does not establish compatibility.
Sold as one propeller housing. The engine-specific hub/installation kit is required and sold separately. Choose the exact propeller from the dropdown. Each choice lists diameter x pitch, rotation and manufacturer part number; use the specification table below to compare.
Exact specifications by part number
| Part number | PartsDuck SKU | Diameter | Pitch | Rotation | Material | Blades |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 21310810 | PD-31672 | 12.5 in | 8 in | Right Hand | Aluminum | 3 |
| 21311010 | PD-31673 | 12 in | 10.5 in | Right Hand | Aluminum | 3 |
| 21311510 | PD-31700 | 12.25 in | 15 in | Right Hand | Aluminum | 3 |
| 21311710 | PD-31698 | 11.75 in | 17 in | Right Hand | Aluminum | 3 |
Diameter discrepancy for part 21311510: Turning Point’s live product record lists 12.25 inches, while its 2025 selection chart lists 12.125 inches. The table uses the live listing value; the difference remains unresolved. Confirm the diameter directly with Turning Point before ordering if clearance is critical.
Design details
- Separate prop housing and engine-specific installation kit allow the hub and prop to be selected for the application.
- Squeeze-cast aluminum construction.
- Ultracoat powder-coated finish.
Performance depends on hull, engine, load, mounting height and trim. A different blade count or design may require a different pitch even when replacing a prop with the same stamped pitch.
Hub and engine compatibility
Start with the exact engine manufacturer, model, year, gearcase and shaft spline count in Prop Wizard. The following kit references are application-dependent choices, not a list of interchangeable hubs. Applications marked four-blade-only or OS-only require that specified prop design.
| Engine application and fitment requirements | Shop hub kit |
|---|---|
| 13-spline Evinrude/Johnson: 2-cylinder 40/48, 50 (1975–2005), 55 (1976–1979), 60/65 (1980–1985); 3-cylinder 75 with small gearcase (1975–1985); Sprint and Formula E (1986–1992). Kit 12 also serves other engines using different prop families; those applications do not make this H2 prop compatible. | Kit 12 — 11300200 |
Choosing pitch and rotation
- Record the current prop part number, diameter, pitch and rotation.
- Check the engine maker’s recommended wide-open-throttle RPM range and record actual RPM and GPS speed with the normal passenger, fuel and gear load.
- Use Prop Wizard with the exact engine and boat details; do not select by horsepower alone.
- Confirm right-hand or left-hand rotation, particularly on twin-engine installations. Left-hand is not a substitute for right-hand.
- After installation, water-test under normal load and confirm operation within the engine maker’s RPM range.
Installation and package
Package: one propeller housing. Hub kit and engine-specific installation hardware are separate. Follow the installation-kit instructions and engine manual for washer order, shaft preparation, retaining hardware, torque and locking procedure. Check full rotation and trim-tab clearance before operation. Do not assume the old hub or hardware will fit the new prop.
