Sea Hawk Shawkocon Underwater Primer
Description
Description
A single-component anti-corrosive primer and sealer for underwater hull surfaces. It promotes adhesion over sound compatible existing antifouling and can serve as a conversion coat over older coatings; vinyl antifouling is excluded.
Technical details
| Color | Gray Metallic |
|---|---|
| Finish | Matte |
| Recommended coats | 1 as a sealer; 3–4 as a metal primer |
| Theoretical coverage | 250 sq. ft./gallon at 2.5 mils dry film thickness |
| VOC | 420 g/L |
System selection
Preparation, total dry-film thickness and the interval before applying the next coating determine system performance. Use the exact primer formulation and its compatible topcoat instructions. Water-based antifouling over Tuff Stuff requires the manufacturer’s dedicated procedure. A primer is not an antifouling finish.
