The Lumitec SeaBlaze X3 is a surface-mount underwater LED light for boat transoms. Choose White/Blue for two-color lighting and a cross-fade mode, or Spectrum RGBW for a full color cycle with selectable colors. Both versions deliver a manufacturer-rated 8,000 lumens on white output and operate on 10–30V DC.

Choose your color output

Sold individually: your selection is one light, not a pair. The 8,000-lumen rating describes white output, not every individual color. Water clarity, mounting position and the number of lights affect the visible result.

Control and compatibility

A correctly rated on/off switch can operate the X3 using Lumitec’s Timed Toggle Protocol (TTP); Poco is optional. The installation instructions cover both two-wire and three-wire switch configurations. For digital control, the light’s Power Line Instruction (PLI) capability supports a compatible Poco system, with color selection, dimming and scenes through a compatible display or the Poco app. Poco equipment and switches are sold separately. This model is not specified for conventional third-party dimmers.

Plan separately for marine sealant, waterproof connections, suitable extension wiring, circuit protection and your chosen control equipment.

Plan your installation

Lumitec recommends a flat transom location approximately 6–12 inches below the waterline, clear of engines, trim tabs and other obstructions. Mounting on running surfaces is not recommended. Use the manufacturer’s mounting template, sealing instructions and wiring diagrams; hand-tighten the mounting screws.

The X3 instructions limit a protected 12V lighting circuit outside an engine space to two lights and 15A maximum. Circuit and signal-wire protection must match the selected wiring configuration. Follow the complete instructions and applicable marine electrical requirements; consult a qualified marine installer for your vessel and any engine-space installation.

Common questions

Do I need Poco?
No. Properly rated switch control is supported. Poco adds compatible digital control and is purchased separately.

Is this a direct X2 replacement?
The screw-hole pattern is shared, but verify clearances, hull condition, sealing and wiring against the X3 instructions before replacing an existing light.

Which version should I choose?
Choose White/Blue for white, blue and their cross-fade mode. Choose Spectrum RGBW when you want the broader color range.
