Remove wax, grease and mold-release contamination from fiberglass before preparing the surface for a coating system.
Selection and Application
Remove wax, grease and mold-release contamination from fiberglass gelcoat before coating preparation. Use the specified cleaning procedure.
Follow the product label and technical instructions for preparation, mixing, application conditions and overcoating intervals.
Application Reference
Clean before sanding so wax and mold-release residue are not ground into the gelcoat. Work in small areas: wipe with a wetted clean rag, then immediately wipe dry with a second clean rag. Rinse and repeat until water sheets rather than beads. Allow to dry before coating.
