Description
Quick Build is a polyurethane primer base used in two distinct sealer or surfacer systems above the waterline.
What is included
Sealer: U3100 converter plus A3110 activator. Surfacer: U3200 converter plus A3210 activator. Base, converter and activator are separate.
Application
Spray application.
Mixing and reduction
Sealer base:U3100:A3110 = 4:1:1.5 by volume. North American surfacer base:U3200:A3210 = 3:1:1. Do not use the sealer ratio for the surfacer. No induction period; optional 5–10% specified spray reducer where allowed.
Surface preparation
Sealer can be used over appropriately prepared aluminum/anodized aluminum, fiberglass and sound existing finishes. Surfacer fills sanding marks on correctly prepared substrates; finish-sand before topcoating.
Working and drying times
At 77°F, sealer pot life is about 5 hours; surfacer pot life is about 2 hours. The surfacer is sandable in about 3 hours. Conditions and film thickness affect these times.
Compatibility and limits
Activator is an essential component. Use the correct preparation sequence: the surfacer system requires Wash Primer CF before application to aluminum.
