Awlgrip Awlfair LW Lightweight Fairing Compound Base | D8200

D8200 white lightweight trowelable epoxy fairing base for leveling irregular surfaces above or below the waterline within a suitable coating system.

What is included

Use D7200 standard converter or D7222 fast converter, sold separately.

Application

Trowel, putty knife or approved fairing battens over compatible prepared primers.

Mixing and reduction

1:1 base:converter by volume. Mix thoroughly to a uniform color without streaks. Do not add solvent or thinner.

Working and drying times

At 77°F the standard D7200 system has approximately 1.5-hour pot life and is sandable after 17 hours. The D7222 fast system has approximately 30-minute pot life and is sandable after 6 hours.

Compatibility and limits

Apply and cure within the specified 55–104°F range. Work in thin lifts, eliminate air pockets, sand between stages and seal with the appropriate epoxy primer before the finish. It is not a structural adhesive or stand-alone bottom coating.

Sold as one container in the selected size unless the package description specifically states otherwise. Components shown as separate products are not included.

Safe handling

For professional use. Read the current container label and safety data sheet before opening or mixing. Use the specified ventilation, protective clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protection for the product and application method. Keep solvent-containing materials away from ignition sources. Coating and additive instructions are product-specific.
