Description

A separate low-VOC formulation of the high-build two-part epoxy barrier primer. Use for fiberglass blister prevention or repair and corrosion protection on prepared metals, following the Low VOC system instructions.

System selection

Preparation, total dry-film thickness and the interval before applying the next coating determine system performance. Use the exact primer formulation and its compatible topcoat instructions. Water-based antifouling over Tuff Stuff requires the manufacturer’s dedicated procedure. A primer is not an antifouling finish.

Coating window

At 73°F (23°C), the technical sheet lists 3 hours minimum and 6 days maximum between primer coats, with a 24-hour maximum window for the specified solvent-based bottom paint. Confirm readiness and the exact system’s instructions before overcoating; water-based antifouling uses a different procedure.
