Turning Point MasterGuard installation kit 501, manufacturer part number 11500100, adapts a compatible propeller housing to the specified engine/drive shaft. This is the hub/installation kit; a propeller housing is not included.
Application and exclusions
15-spline Mercury/Mariner and selected Honda, Force, Suzuki/Johnson applications. Covers listed 4.25-inch Mercury Bigfoot/CT and other 40–150 hp applications, plus listed 4.75-inch Mercury/Mariner and MerCruiser Alpha One/Bravo One (1983+) applications. Suzuki/Johnson DF50AV/60AV/115A/140/140A requires 4-blade props. MerCruiser 200+ hp Bravo One with stainless props calls for 701 instead; for prop/trim-tab interference the chart lists Mercury 822777A1. Full model/year and gearcase verification is required.

Construction and warranty
MasterGuard uses a one-piece hub design with a polymer cushion and corrosion-resistant metal splines. Turning Point advertises a lifetime hub warranty; the 2025 chart limits the 500- and 700-series lifetime warranty to non-commercial use. Coverage is subject to the manufacturer’s terms and does not provide a lifetime warranty on a separately purchased propeller.
Installation checklist
- Confirm engine model, year, gearcase and spline count, then match the hub and prop housing in the manufacturer’s guide.
- Use the hardware specified for this kit and your engine. Included components and reused OEM hardware are application-specific; follow the kit’s instructions.
- Follow the engine manual for torque and locking hardware. Check propeller and trim-tab clearance before operation.
- After a prop strike, inspect the propeller, hub and drive before reuse; replace damaged parts.
