Choose OEM Quicksilver 8M0082483 for a 10-foot throttle or shift cable with Generation I connections. This Platinum Plus cable is selected by both length and control-system generation.
Application and fitment
For compatible Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser mechanical controls using Generation I cable connections. Match the control generation, engine-side connection and original cable length before ordering. Gen I and Gen II connections are distinct; cable length alone does not establish fitment.
Cable specifications
10-foot cable (3.0m in the manufacturer table), with Gen I connections. Platinum Plus construction combines a UV- and abrasion-resistant polypropylene jacket, lubricated liner and stainless-steel core. The hexagonal core profile reduces contact with the liner; 22 oil-tempered wires provide compression strength.
