Selection and Application

Suitable preparation is required for oily woods such as teak. Bare wood and previously varnished wood require different coat schedules.

Follow the product label and technical instructions for preparation, mixing, application conditions and overcoating intervals.

Application Reference

Coat schedule	Bare wood: 2 thinned coats followed by 4 unthinned coats (6 if thinned). Previously varnished wood: 2–4 unthinned coats, or 4–6 if thinned.
Coverage / yield	Practical: 525.1 ft² per US gallon by brush. Theoretical: 582.1.
Hard Dry at 73°F (23°C)	6 hrs
Touch Dry at 73°F (23°C)	2 hrs

Preparation and thinning change the required coat count. Use the schedule for bare wood or previously varnished wood and sand as directed.

Coverage is per coat unless a filler thickness is stated. Theoretical figures exclude application losses; practical yield varies with surface, film build and method.

Drying figures are reference values at the stated temperature. Recoating, sanding and launch have separate requirements; follow the selected product label and coating-system schedule.
