Selection and Application

Match the underwater substrate and antifouling system, then follow the appropriate preparation and coat schedule.

Follow the product label and technical instructions for preparation, mixing, application conditions and overcoating intervals.

Application Reference

Coat schedule	1–5 coats depending on substrate and system; not one universal coat count.
Coverage / yield	Practical: 301.2 ft² per US gallon by brush; 142.5 by spray. Theoretical: 339.1 by brush; 179.1 by spray.
Dry film per coat	1.6 mils dry by brush / roller, 3 mils dry by spray

Prepare underwater metal or fiberglass using the specified substrate schedule. Do not overcoat with vinyl antifoulings such as VC Offshore, Baltoplate or VC 17, or with two-part epoxies. Spray application needs longer drying and minimum overcoating times than brush/roller application.

Coverage is per coat unless a filler thickness is stated. Theoretical figures exclude application losses; practical yield varies with surface, film build and method.
