Selection and Application

Prepare and sand a sound existing varnish before recoating. Do not apply a two-part varnish over this one-part finish.

Follow the product label and technical instructions for preparation, mixing, application conditions and overcoating intervals.

Application Reference

Coat schedule	Bare wood: 5–6 coats; follow the preparation and between-coat sanding schedule.
Coverage / yield	Theoretical: 600.1 ft² per US gallon by brush.
Touch Dry at 77°F (25°C)	5 hrs

Sand between coats and use the specified Brushing Liquid 333 or Special Thinner 216 for the chosen application method. Do not apply two-part products over a one-part varnish.

Coverage is per coat unless a filler thickness is stated. Theoretical figures exclude application losses; practical yield varies with surface, film build and method.

Drying figures are reference values at the stated temperature. Recoating, sanding and launch have separate requirements; follow the selected product label and coating-system schedule.
