Selection and Application

A two-part epoxy primer/undercoat for suitable topside systems and clear epoxy surfaces. Do not apply over one-part paint.

Follow the product label and technical instructions for preparation, mixing, application conditions and overcoating intervals.

Application Reference — Mixed System

Coat schedule (mixed system)	Above-waterline priming: 1–2 coats. The specified below-waterline system requires 5–6 coats.
Coverage / yield (mixed system)	Theoretical mixed-system coverage: 450 ft² per US gallon by brush; 375 by spray.
Dry film per coat (mixed system)	2 mils dry
Touch Dry at 73°F (23°C)	2 hrs

Mix matching base and Y414 curing component 3:1 by volume. Prepare and sand the substrate as specified; the number of coats differs between topside priming and a below-waterline system.

Coverage is per coat unless a filler thickness is stated. Theoretical figures exclude application losses; practical yield varies with surface, film build and method.

Drying figures are reference values at the stated temperature. Recoating, sanding and launch have separate requirements; follow the selected product label and coating-system schedule.
