Description
Description
D6600 yellow chromate-free etch-primer base for prepared aluminum, anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
What is included
Requires D3300 converter, sold separately.
Application
Air-atomized spray for direct-to-metal application.
Mixing and reduction
1:1 D6600:D3300 by volume; reduction is not required or recommended.
Surface preparation
Clean, degrease and abrade according to the metal-specific procedure. Apply a thin, continuous primer film; this is not a high-build surfacer.
Working and drying times
At 77°F: approximately 8-hour pot life and 2-hour hard dry. The specified compatible topcoat/545 system can be overcoated within the data-sheet window.
Compatibility and limits
Not suitable for wood, plastics or use under Awlgrip fairing compounds. Controlled-fusion cure continues after topcoating; observe the assembly and drilling waiting periods.
